G’day, I’m Coach Jack


I caught the running bug during COVID, and over the past few years, running has become a huge part of my life. Beyond fitness and PB’s, it’s given me community, lasting friendships, improved physical and mental health, and important life values like discipline, consistency, commitment, and enjoyment.

As a coach, my goal is to help every athlete I work with experience those same benefits while progressing toward their own running goals. Whether your goal feels small or super audacious, I can equip you with the structure, guidance, and resources to get you there; and most importantly, to enjoy the process along the way.

I’ve played Aussie Rules football since Auskick, where building a strong endurance base has always been essential. Through that journey, and working with a variety of coaches, I discovered a real passion for running and endurance training.

 Along the way, I’ve trained and learned in Western Australia and Tweed Heads, working with multiple coaches and being coached by elite marathoners. Those experiences have shaped how I approach training, recovery, and long-term development. More recently, I have been fortunate enough to help some close friends achieve some PB’s for the Marathon which gave me a deep sense of second-hand joy.

Due to my background primarily being a Health and Physical Educator- My coaching philosophy focuses on holistic health, meaning we train the whole athlete; physically, mentally, and through lifestyle habits. I design plans that build endurance safely, incorporate strength and mobility work, support recovery, offer nutritional advice to help you keep stacking days. This approach ensures runners of all levels progress sustainably, avoid injury, and enjoy the process when training for a running event!

How it works

Step 1: Book a call TO SEE IF WE ARE THE RIGHT FIT

Step 2: Complete an Adult Pre-Exercise Screening (APSS) and Google Form Injury History document.

Your health and safety always come first. I need to be aware of any current medical conditions, recent injuries, surgeries, medications, or any symptoms you experience during exercise (like dizziness, chest pain, unusual shortness of breath, etc.)

If you’re unsure whether something is important, include it anyway. The more I know, the better I can build a plan that’s safe, realistic, and designed specifically for you.

This is about setting you up to train smart, stack up the days and stay healthy long term.

Step 3: Choose a coaching arrangement that suits you best

Tell me what kind of support you’re looking for. How often would you like to communicate? How many days per week can you realistically train? Are there any upcoming life commitments that may affect your training?
